hike and learn resources

by alex on March 15, 2010

Hike and Learn is slowly gaining traction. It’s very cool. In my own research (and while daydreaming) about long-distance trails, I’ve found tons of great resources for planning. Here are links to some of them. (Just to clarify, you don’t need to do a long-distance trail to be eligible for Hike and Learn.)

I hope this info will whet your appetite and give you a good start on planning some hikes this summer. Please email me (hikeyeah@gmail.com) if you have questions or if you have trails/links you’d like to share with other people.

My pleasure, Bill. I get a kick out of learning about trails across the country. I’ve hiked bits and pieces of some of them, including 150 miles on the Colorado Trail. I’ll definitely head back there in the next few years and finish it. The CT Foundation does great work by the way–keep it up.

Great work Alex, I think the Hike and Learn program is a fantastic idea! Thanks for the list of resources by the way.
