photo contest 2

by alex on October 23, 2009

Two weeks ago I did a photo contest for best action shot. It went great. This time around, I want pictures of you or your friends that show somebody stuck in foul weather. (By the way, for those of you who are more into landscape/nature shots without people, your turn is coming up next.)

The winner gets a signed copy of one of Paul Gerald’s books (your choice); he’s written 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles of Portland, Best Tent Camping in Oregon, Best Day and Overnight Hikes on the PCT in Oregon, and Breakfast in Bridgetown.

If you want to enter, follow these steps:

  1. Find a photo of you or that you’ve taken that has to do with being outdoors.
  2. The subject(s) should be wet, muddy, cold, or something along those lines.
  3. Send the photo and a short description to hikeyeah@gmail.com by 12PM PST on Friday, Oct. 30.
  4. Tune in next week (podcast 22) to see if you’ve won.

Here’s an example of what I’m going for–I was taking a walk on the beach at night. It was cold, windy, and rainy:

cold and wet
