January 29, podcast 33: Laura Foster will join me to talk about urban hiking. She’s written a few books about walks you can go on in Portland–hill walks, neighborhood walks, walks that you can get to by public transportation. I’ve gone on one walk with her through the NW 23rd area. She knows a ton about the history and architecture of our fair city. I’m going to take one of her self-guided tours (from Portland Hill Walks) before my show with her.
February 5, podcast 34: Dennis Stilwell, the creator of nwhiker.com, will talk to me about his own hiking background and why he decided to create (as far as I know) the first online resource for Portland-based hikers.
